The referee ruled out a perfectly legal goal by Villa and sent off Goyo with half an hour left

Villarreal B drew against CF Badalona in a match where the Mini Submarine dominated from start to end (0-0). The match was notable for refereeing controversy, as Kevin Javier Moreno Muñoz ruled out a perfectly legal goal by Dani Villa for offside and he sent Goyo for a second yellow card in the 62nd minute. Despite being a man down, the Yellows were the better team until the final whistle.

The key moment in the game came in the 11th minute. Diego Fuoli played a long ball, which found Pepe Castaño, who played in Villa, who sent the ball into the back of the net. The referee ruled out the effort for offside, when Pepe Castaño had been brought down by goalkeeper Morales. It was a goal or a penalty, but the referee gave neither.

That piece of play affected the game, as did the sending off of Goyo, who saw a second yellow in the 62nd minute for a challenge in the middle of the pitch.

Despite being a man down, Villarreal B conitnued to dominated the game but were unable to score. Next up for the Yellows is an away game against Nàstic Tarragona.
