The Yellows Reserves comfortably beat the English side in a friendly at the Mini Estadi
Villarreal B played a friendly match against Brentford FC B at the Mini Estadi this morning and the Yellows Reserves came out on top winning 5-2. Paco López’s side’s goals were courtesy of Juan ‘Ibiza’, Carlos Martínez (2), Carlos López (penalty) and Larrea.
The Mini Submarine went ahead through Juan ‘Ibiza’ in the first half after a counterattack from a corner. Then, just before half time, the Villarreal B team keeper, Joan Femenías, saved a penalty. The second half was full of action with six goals, four for the Yellows and two for the Brentford Reserves, who came back to draw 1-1 and 2-2 before falling to the Yellows in the end.
This match served as preparation for the Villarreal B team ahead of their next league clash against CF Gavà at the Mini Estadi (Sunday, 5:30pm CET).
