The Catalonian defender was presented with the trophy by César Gozalbo, Provincial Manager of ASISA
This afternoon Villarreal’s Catalonian defender, Víctor Ruiz, received the ASISA Healthiest Player (Jugador Más Saludable ASISA) award for the 2015/16 season.
The Provinical Manager of ASISA, César Gozalbo, was in charge of presenting the trophy to the centre back on the pitch just before the match against Real Betis kicked off at El Madrigal stadium. The supporters gave a standing ovation to the Yellows’ number 6, who has become a key figure in the Submarine back line.
Víctor Ruiz received this award as a result of his spectacular performance throughout the 2015/16 season. In fact, he was the footballer to play the most minutes for Villarreal, 4,300 in total between LaLiga (2,988), UEFA Europa League (1,241) and Copa del Rey (101) competitions.
