The Villarreal B players started for Spain in their victory over Serbia (0-4)

Villarreal B players Álex Baena and Iván Morante started yesterday in Spain’s 0-4 victory against Serbia, which saw the national side make it three wins out of three in the qualifying tournament for the Elite Round of the European U19 Championships. Throughout the competition, Spain U19s beat Lithuania (2-0), Romania (1-0), and Serbia (0-4). The results mean that they qualify for the Elite Round next Spring, where they will try and reach the final phase in Northern Ireland in 2020.

Baena and Morante started the game, with the former playing 90 minutes and the latter being replaced after 70. Spain’s goals came from Víctor Mollejo, Marc Tenas, Sergi Rosanas and Borja Sainz.
