The Submarine need to beat Zürich to go on in the Europa League

A must win. At this evening’s official Europa League press conference Villarreal Manager, Fran Escribá, stressed how much is at stake for the Yellows in tomorrow’s match against FC Zürich (7pm CET, Letzigrund stadium, live on BeIN Sports Max 1), in correspondence with Matchday 5 of the Group stage. “We’ve made mistakes in this round and that means we’re coming into this game under pressure. The team is prepared to win but we know there’s a lot of pressure in these games. There’s no room for error and so I’ll be opting for the most reliable team. The key for us will be to play to our best. If we can even play close to our best we’ll be well on our way to winning”.

Furthermore, the Yellows Manager also spoke about the opponents’ strengths and that Zürich are a team to be wary of. “We’ve seen all Zürich’s matches. We have to be careful because they have some very quick players, they’re good in the air and brilliant on the counterattack. But, what concerns me most is how we play”.

Bruno: “We have to be calm, a match lasts 90 minutes”

For his part, Bruno said the team is relaxed and ready, and also fully aware of the importance of tomorrow night’s clash. “It’s a 90 minute match, not 25 or 30, so we don’t have to drive ourselves crazy. We have to go out strong and have our heads in the game from the start. We all understand the importance of this fixture. We have to work hard to beat them and we’re ready to face anything that happens out there on the pitch”.
