Pepe Castaño, Goyo Medina and Carlos Beitia represented their country against Italy
Three players from the Yellows Academy, Pepe Castaño, Goyo Medina and Carlos Beitia, played for Spain yesterday in a friendly match against Italy. Pepe Castaño played for the U19s who won by a single goal at the Friuli de Udine stadium in Italy. The Villarreal C team centre back came on in the 83rd minute, replacing teammate Álex Zalaya. The only goal of the game was scored by Aleñá.
For their part, Goyo Medina and Carlos Beitia also played for the national team, but in their case with Spain U17. The members of the U19 Roda team participated in the second half of the match played at the Municipal de Mahón in Menorca, also against Italy, which finished in a 1-1 draw. Spain’s goal was scored by Abel Ruiz.
