The Spanish women’s rugby team have received the Endavant Prize for Sporting Merit 2019
The Spanish women’s rugby team have received recognition, winning the Endavant Prize for Sporting Merit 2019 in the Endavant Esports Gala, which took place this Wednesday at the Paranimf at the Jaume I University (Universidad Jaume I).
Members of the national side were handed the prize from Eva Alcón, UJI chancellor.
‘Las Leonas’ won the European 2019 Rugby Championships, beating Holland 54-0 in the final. They have won that title an impressive seven times. Next up will be the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup in New Zealand in 2021.
