Villarreal U23s finished their participation in the Premier League International Cup, losing 2-1 to Leicester City in the third and final game of the group stages.
The match started badly for the Yellows, with the first goal coming in the 24th minute through Hirst, and only two minutes later, Eppiah doubled the English side’s lead. Miguel Álvarez’s team got one back thanks to Álex Millan’s goal just before half-time. Despite a number of attempts in the second half, the draw didn’t come.
