Miguel Álvarez highlighted FC Andorra’s exceptional build-up play (Sunday, 12pm CET)

Villarreal B head coach Miguel Álvarez appeared in front of the media to analyse the upcoming match against FC Andorra (Sunday, 12pm CET), where two of the best teams in the Primera RFEF Footters will face off.

The Mini Submarine boss hailed the Andorran side’s build-up play: “They’re the best team with build-up play in the whole league. They have a top quality squad, and a great head coach. As well as nice build-up play, they’ve improved defensively and they don’t concede many goals. They’re someone to think about in Primera RFEF.”

To counter the opposition’s strengths, Villarreal B will need to dig in and capitalise on transitions: “We’re strong on the counter. In Andorra, we need to know how to dig in, how to be strong without the ball, and cause damage on the counter, and that’s how we’ll cause them problems. We need to be capable of being comfortable without the ball, be tight in defence, and defend well.”

Despite FC Andorra’s impressive level, Miguel Álvarez side already know what beating them is like this season. “We need to do things well. If we play like we can, we can win the match. We showed that at home.”
