Sara Monforte’s players undertake their pre-season medical tests today
The new Villarreal Ladies project is starting to take place. Sara Monforte’s players this morning undertook their pre-season medical tests at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva). The first training session will be this Wednesday afternoon on Pitch 4 of the training ground (6:30pm CEST).
The Ladies First Team have made a total of six signings: Iris Domínguez, Sara Medina, Paula Campos, Bea Prades, Ayaki Shinada and Celia Fernández. Moreover, Monforte’s side have also kept 13 players from previous campaigns as well for the upcoming season: Aixa Salvador, Lara Mata, Laura Royo, María Colonques, Sheila Guijarro, Naiara Ves, Jessica Collado, Clara Martínez, Cristina Díaz, María Sanjuán, Silvia Gallego, Yolanda Palomino and María Ortells. A strong squad ahead of the club’s Primera B debut.
The Yellows, like last year, will complete a pre-season camp at Les Coves in Vinromà from 5th to 7th August and they will face seven pre-season friendlies before their first league match in September.
The Ladies First Team pre-season friendlies are:
- Friday 2nd August: Ladies First Team vs Ladies First Team at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva).
- Wednesday 7th August: Ladies First Team vs Ladies B Team at Les Coves.
- Sunday 11th August: Ladies First Team vs AEM Lleida at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva).
- Wednesday 14th August: Ladies First Team vs Mislata at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva).
- Sunday 18th August: Zaragoza CFF vs Ladies First Team at the Estadio Pedro Sancho.
- Friday 23rd August: Ladies First Team vs Espanyol B at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva).
- Saturday 31st August: Chilches Tournament vs Levante B.
