Sara Monforte’s side achieve the feat after an important win over Levante B (1-3)
To Primera B! The Ladies First Team confirmed promotion to the new national league of women’s football in Spain, after beating Levante B 1-3 in a match between two rivals at the top of the table. Sara Monforte’s side achieved the feat with three games left of the campaign, thanks to goals from María Colonques, Kennedy Kessler and an own goal.
The Villarreal Ladies First Team could still qualify for the promotion play-off to Primera, the top division of women’s football. Next up for the Yellows is a match against Alhama CF. Second in the table, and only three points ahead of the Yellows, the team from Murcía are the main rivals in the race for promotion to the Liga Iberdrola.
