A total of 13 Yellows completed the 460km journey on their bikes to be in attendance for the match at La Cerámica against Real Valladolid

Fulfilling a promise. A total of 13 supporters from the L’Os Groc fan club got on their bikes and made the 460km trip to be at the Villarreal match against Real Valladolid this Saturday at the Estadio de la Cerámica. This long journey was the result of a promise they made should the Yellows stay in the top flight last season.

After taking to the road last Thursday from Leganés and stopping just twice in Cuenca and Sarrión (Teruel), the 13 brave cyclists arrived at the Estadio de la Cerámica an hour before kick-off. There, they were met by Yellows directors, including president Fernando Roig, and they got a very special welcome from the club and the Official Supporters Group (Agrupación de Penyes del Villarreal CF), after fulfilling their promise.

This tough initiative is for charity. The L’Os Groc fan club, used their promise to raise funds in the fight against Rett Syndrome, a neurological development illness that affects children.

The 13 cyclists did not travel along. A total of 70 neighbours from Villanueva de ÁVILA, who got behind the scheme, accompanied them, heading to the Estadio de la Cerámica by coach to be able to enjoy the game against Real Valladolid.

After the match, the L’Os Groc fan club and their fans celebrated, alongside the Official Supporters Group, a celebratory meal, where part of the money raise will go to the fight against Rett Syndrome.
