President Fernando Roig looks at the launch of the new season-ticket campaign
Villarreal CF president Fernando Roig wanted to address Yellows fans as part of the launch of the new season-ticket campaign #YoSíEstoy, where the club has given fans important discounts due to the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. “You’re the most important thing for the club to continue to grow. I’m asking you to get your season ticket. The club will always be on the fans’ side, as they are extremely important. Every day we are improving and full of more excitement.”
The campaign has three options: discounts of up to 75% for season-ticket holders, a return of 30% of the money paid for last season’s season ticket and 20% discount for new season-ticket holders. “Fans who feel they have been wrong will be able to receive the money back from the games they didn’t get to enjoy in person last season. They have the right to do that, but the club has opted for another solution. We are giving important discounts for those who want to continue to be alongside the team. We will take methods that benefit Villarreal CF season-ticket holders,” underlined Roig.
For the Yellows president, the future is exciting: “We’ve just ended a great season, finishing fifth in LaLiga. We will play in the Europa League and I’m sure it’ll be a great season. We’re really excited. We’re in a position where we can compete with the best Spanish clubs.”
Roig has underlined that everyone needs to keep their feet on the ground though: “The main objective is to be in the top flight for another season. From that base, we haven’t renounced anything and we will try and go as far as possible in domestic and continental competition. We’ve brought in a young manager, but with a lot of experience. Emery has a lot of years in the football world to his name and we will have a better team than last year and a worse team than the following year.”
When the healthcare authorities allow it, the Estadio de le Cerámica will host fans once more. “For the project to be great, it’s really important, it’s fundamental for the fans to be able to support the team when the current situation allows it. When we can, we want to fill the Estadio de la Cerámica,” concluded Roig.
