Villarreal will allocate 42,500 Euros to the Villarreal CF Endavant Chair of Sport at the UJI

At midday today, Villarreal CF Vice President, José Manuel Llaneza, and head of the club’s Institutional Relations department, Tino Traver, attended the event with the elite athletes from the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón which served as an announcement for students to apply for the Villarreal CF Endavant Chair of Sport (Cátedra Endavant Villarreal CF del Deporte) scholarships. Also present at the event were the Chancellor of the Universitat Jaume I, Vicent Climent, the Vice Chancellor of the Campus, Infrastructures and New Technologies, Pablo Aibar, and the Manager of Sports Services, Carlos Hernando.

On this occasion, Villarreal CF will allocate 30,000 Euros for grants, 5,000 Euros more in comparison with last year. In addition to these 30,000 Euros, Villarreal CF will allocate 12,500 Euros more to training and to ticket sales for the UJI stand at the Estadio de la Cerámica. In total, this year Villarreal CF designates 42,500 Euros to the Villarreal CF Endavant Chair of Sport.

The Villarreal CF scholarships for Universitat Jaume I athletes began in 2012-13, making this the fifth edition and every year the financial allocation increases:

  • 2012-2013: 10,000 Euros.
  • 2013-2014: 15,000 Euros.
  • 2014-2015: 20,000 Euros.
  • 2015-2016: 25,000 Euros.
  • 2016-2017: 30,000 Euros.

Since 2012-13, a total of 118 scholarships have been given to UJI students:

  • 2012-2013: 19 athletes.
  • 2013-2014: 26 athletes.
  • 2014-2015: 41 athletes.
  • 2015-2016: 32 athletes.
