The 11th chapter of Centenary Memories looks at the arrival of the two key figures in the club’s history

illarreal CF has published the eleventh instalment of Centenary Memories. The chapter sheds light on the arrival of José Manuel Llaneza and Fernando Roig at the Yellows in the 1990s, one of the most significant moments in the centenary history of the club.

This special audiovisual piece tells the story of Fernando Roig and José Manuel Llaneza’s arrival at Villarreal CF through the voices and experiences of the protagonists themselves, as well as the following personalities: Joaquín Font de Mora and María José Font de Mora, children of Pascual Font de Mora; Fernando Peris, son of Vicente Peris, mayor and former CD Villarreal player; Julián García Candau, prestigious journalist from Vila-real; and Adriano García, emblematic former Villarreal CF footballer in the 80s and 90s.

Memorias del Centenario is a series of historical reports, produced to mark the centenary of Villarreal CF, which recalls and delves into the most emblematic and transcendental moments and characters in the history of the Submarine.
