The Villarreal head coach recognised that the match was useful to continue taking on board new concepts
Villarreal coach Quique Setién spoke to the media to analyse the Submarine’s victory over CD Santa Amalia (0-9): “Everything went well. On paper, we shouldn’t have had any difficulty in getting through the game. The match was good for us to continue to see some things. Especially at the beginning, when our opponents were more physical and defended better.”
He also praised the performance of Gerard Moreno, who scored after overcoming the muscular injury he has been carrying for the last few weeks: “I saw him well, quick and with desire. He was keen to get some minutes. It was the ideal game to get a feeling. He ran, played well and scored. It’s going to be good for him.”
