The Villarreal president made the announcement in an online meeting with the APV to celebrate the traditional toast after confirming LaLiga survival
Villarreal CF president Fernando Roig has announced that Yellows season-ticket holders will get their season ticket for free for the 2021/22 season, after they were unable to attend any game at the Estadio de la Cerámica this season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He confirmed this great news in an online meeting with the Agrupació de Penyes del Villarreal CF (Villarreal CF Official Supporters’ Association – APV), in which, the traditional toast after confirming LaLiga survival took place.
During the meeting with the fans, the president underlined that, after having confirmed survival during March, Villarreal CF are hoping of an exciting end to the season: “Next year we will be in the top flight once more. It’s an achievement, but we’re not conforming with that. We want to be in Europe next season and we will fight to achieve that. In the Europa League, we have got the quarter-finals. We’re in a good feeling and we’re dreaming of growing in that competition.”
Roig used the meeting to address the fans personally and thank them for their support. He also underlined his wish that supporters can return to the Estadio de la Cerámica as soon as possible: “The fans have not been able to see their team this season. It’s a very sad situation, but we hope that the medical authorities will soon allow access to stadiums once more.”
The meeting also saw Javier Pérez, the APV president, address those present. From the APV, the following official fan clubs took part: Pardals Grocs Vall de Uxó, L’Os Groc, Kassel Alemania, Penya Sang Groga, Submarí Groc Vila-real, La 12, Peña Villarreal CF Vinaròs, Peña CEU-Trigueros, Penya Llangostí Groc Vinaròs, Submarí Groc de Barcelona, Villarreal Fanclub Deutschland and San Pascual.
