Nine Yellows players will play for their national teams during the current international window

Villarreal have finished the season and nine of their players have been called up to play for their respective national teams: Gio Lo Celso, Johan Mojica, Samu Chukwueze, Yeremy Pino, Aïssa Mandi, Nico Jackson, Álex Baena, Filip Jorgensen and Iker Álvarez.

Spain (Yeremy) will play the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League against Italy, while African teams such as Senegal (Jackson), Nigeria (Chukwueze) and Algeria (Mandi) will play different qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile, Spain U21s (Baena) will play in the UEFA U21 European Championships and will face Romania, Croatia and Ukraine in the group stage. Denmark U21 (Jorgensen) will play two qualifiers for the following UEFA U21 European Championships against Lithuania and Wales.

Argentina (Lo Celso) and Colombia (Mojica) will play several friendly matches. The Albiceleste will face Australia and Indonesia, while the Cafeteros will take on Iraq and Germany. Iker Álvarez’s Andorra will face Switzerland and Israel.
