A total of ten Yellows have been called up by their national teams for the upcoming international break

Villarreal CF players Pau Torres, Yeremy Pino, Álex Baena, Gero Rulli, Giovani Lo Celso, Aïssa Mandi, Johan Mojica, Filip Jorgensen and Iker Álvarez have been called up by their national for the upcoming international break.

The Spanish national team, with Pau Torres and Yeremy Pino in their ranks, will play two UEFA Nations League matches. Luis Enrique’s team will face Switzerland, at La Romareda, and Portugal, in Portugal. Iker Álvarez, who has been called up by Andorra to face Liechtenstein and Latvia, will play in the same competition. 

For his part, Álex Baena has been called up by Spain U21s to play against Romania and Norway in friendly matches. Filip Jorgensen has also been called up by Denmark U21s for two European Championship qualifiers against Croatia.

Argentina’s Gero Rulli and Giovani Lo Celso will also play two friendlies before the start of the World Cup in Qatar. The first match will be against Honduras and the second against Jamaica. Algeria, Colombia and Senegal will also play friendlies in the international break. The Algerian team, with include Aïssa Mandi, will play against Guinea and Nigeria, while Johan Mojica will represent Colombia against Guatemala and Mexico. Finally, Nicolas Jackson will play for Senegal against Bolivia and Iran.

Yeremy Pino and Pau Torres (Spain)

  • Spain 1-2 Switzerland.
  • Portugal vs Spain: Tuesday 27th September, 8:45pm, Estadio Municipal de Braga (Portugal).

Gero Rulli and Giovani Lo Celso (Argentina)

  • Argentina 3-0 Honduras.
  • Jamaica vs Argentina: Wednesday 28th September, 2am, Red Bull Arena (USA).

Aïssa Mandi (Algeria)

  • Algeria 1-0 Guinea.
  • Algeria vs Nigeria: Tuesday 27th September, 9pm, Oran Olympic Stadium (Algeria).

Johan Mojica (Colombia)

  • Colombia 4-1 Guatemala: Sunday 25th September.
  • Mexico vs Colombia: Tuesday 27th September, 4am, Levi’s Stadium (USA).

Nicolas Jackson (Senegal)

  • Bolivia 0-2 Senegal,
  • Iran vs Senegal: Tuesday 27th September (time TBC), BSFZ-Arena (Austria).

Álex Baena (Spain U21s)

  • Romania 1-4 Spain.
  • Spain vs Norway, Tuesday 27th September, 7pm, El Alcoraz (Spain).

Filip Jorgensen (Denmark U21s)

  • Croatia 2-1 Denmark.
  • Denmark vs Croatia: Tuesday 27th September, 6pm, Vejle Stadium (Denmark).

Iker Álvarez (Andorra)

  • Liechtenstein 0-2 Andorra.
