The match on 8th December against Steaua București will be played at 5pm at El Madrigal

There has been a change of schedule for the last match in the Group stage of the UEFA Europa League. The tie between Villarreal and Steaua București (Thursday 8th December, El Madrigal), which was originally scheduled for 9:05pm, has been moved forward and will now kick off at 5pm CET. This is due to the fact that every group in the competition must play at the same time in their final Group stage matches, thus Osmanlispor and FC Zürich will play at 7pm GMT+3 in Turkey.

The other two teams in Group L, Osmanlispor and FC Zürich, play in Turkey. Normally, Turkey has +1 hour in realtion to Spain. But, on 30th October, when all of Europe will turn the clocks back one hour, Turkey will not, therefore the difference will be +2 hours. For this reason, Villarreal and Steaua București will play their match at 5pm in Spain and Osmanlispor and FC Zürich will play theirs at 7pm in Turkey.

It should be mentioned that Thursday 8th December is a national holiday in Spain, so Yellows fans will have no problem getting down to El Madrigal to cheer on the Submarine.
