The Villarreal Women head coach stresses the importance of being strong at set pieces against the Tenerife side
Villarreal Women head coach, Sara Monforte, appeared at the press conference before the match against Costa Adeje Tenerife, which will take place tomorrow Saturday at 12pm CET at the Mini Estadi of the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground.

The good shape of the team
“The team is in good spirits. We are working with more self-esteem and confidence. The truth is that we are working very well and the team is getting more mature all the time. We are confident and looking forward to enjoying a good morning of football with our fans.”
The keys against Costa Adeje Tenerife
“The keys are the areas. Costa Adeje Tenerife defend well, with a great goalkeeper and in attack they are very vertical. They are a team that creates a lot of chances with very little. They also have very clear ideas. In fact, last year we saw that here at the Mini Estadi with goals from set pieces, so we have to be strong in that type of play. In general, they have a great squad, with many international players like Bloom and Monday.”
Making a leap in the standings
“It’s a game to show that we want to take another step forward. Hopefully we can win against Costa Adeje Tenerife to be in the middle of the table. I’ve told the players that this is the time to make that leap in quality.”

“Every week that goes by we are a little more mature. These next few games we have to try to get points to be in the middle of the table, which I think is what this team deserves.”
