The Yellows goalkeeper praised the Submarine’s display at the Croatian stronghold
Villarreal goalkeeper Gero Rulli analysed his side’s big win against GNK Dinamo Zagreb (0-1) in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League: “No-one gives away anything anymore. We knew what we had to do. We came here to win from the first minute. We were really focused throughout the game. We didn’t give away much, but we created a lot and perhaps the result was a bit small, but we’ve come away with a hugely important win and great feelings.”
Rulli kept a clean sheet for the third consecutive time in European competition, but stressed that the Yellows can’t go into the second leg game with too much confidence after the win in Zagreb: “Now we’re thinking about Sunday’s game, but we know that this time next week we have the second leg to play. The result is good, but it is not definitive. We cannot relax.”
