
The Villarreal right back played the final minutes of the match against Costa Rica (0-1)
Villarreal CF’s Serbian right back, Antonio Rukavina, particpated in his country’s victory over Costa Rica yesterday in their first match of the Group Stage of the Russia 2018 World Cup (0-1). Rukavina came on in the 83rd minute replacing Dusan Tadic. The only goal of the game was scored by Kolarov from a spectacular freekick in the 56th minute.
The next Villarreal CF player to represent his country at the World Cup is Carlos Bacca for Colombia against Japan this Tuesday (2pm). Later on in the day Alfred N’Diaye’s Senegal will take on Poland (5pm) and Denis Cheryshev will be representing Russia in their second group game against Egypt (8pm).
