Villarreal CF has given him the club’s golden badge and the 2019 Endavant Sporting Merit Award
Villarreal CF recognised Roberto Bautista with the 2019 Endavant Sporting Merit Award in the Endavant Esports Gala, which took place this Wednesday at the Paranimf at the Jaume I University (Universidad Jaume I). The tennis star was also given the club’s golden badge for his work as an ambassador for Castellón around the world.
Villarreal CF president Fernando Roig handed Bautista both awards. The tennis star, from the province of Castellón, is one of the best ten tennis players in the world ATP rankings after a hugely successful season, where he won the Doha Open and reached the Wimbledon semi-finals.
The tennis star played as a youngster in the Yellows Academy, but ended up deciding to play tennis, which was not a bad choice considering he is one of the best tennis players in the world and could play at the ATP Finals in London at the end of November.
