The third episode of ‘Centenary Memories’ looks at the trajectory of the legendary goalkeeper
Villarreal CF has published the third instalment of ‘Centenary Memories’ (Memorias del Centenario), which focuses on the impressive Ramón Nebot, the first footballer from Vila-real to play in the top flight
José Ramón Nebot Canós (27/06/1910), the legendary goalkeeper from Vila-real, came through the ranks iat CD Villarreal where he played before defending the colours of CD Castellón, Real Madrid and Valencia CF. During the Civil War, he went into exile and played for Girondins de Bordeaux before returning to play for CA Foghetecaz after the war.
This special episode focuses on his brilliant career, with interviews with Julio Nebot, grandson of the legendary goalkeeper; and Julián García Candau, prestigious journalist from Vila-real.
Contribute to the building of the Historical Archive!
Due to the club’s centenary, Villarreal CF has created a Historical Archive, a project which has the aim to gather all kinds of material linked to the club, which allows us to reconstruct and enjoy again the different passages of the Submarine’s history.
This is an initiative that, in the club’s centenary year, is here to stay and with the mission of recovering our roots and strengthening the foundations of the club from now on. In order to carry it out, Villarreal CF invites its fans to submit photos, videos, objects or documents that could be useful to form a quality historical archive.
Fans can contact the club to collaborate in the initiative by filling out an online form, by telephone (+34 964 500 250) or by going to the Town Centre Stop (Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am to 3pm and from 7pm to 8pm).
