Rubén Mesa is confident ahead of this Sunday’s match against Castellón
Villarreal B forward Rubén Mesa, has assured this lunch time that both him and his team-mates will go for the three points this Sunday at Castalia against CD Castellon (7pm CEST). “I love games like this. We are all want for it to be Sunday already. It’s a match that we like to play in, we’re very excited. Good players adapt to everything and don’t let the atmosphere affect them,” he said.
For the Mini Submarine striker, the team hasn’t achieved the results it has deserved in the two opening games: “Against Lleida and Hércules, we deserved a bit more. In Castalia we have to forget about the post and enjoy the game. We are going into it with a winning mentality. Our idea is to play football well, but with intensity and a hunger that they won’t beat us.”
For Rubén Mesa, the key is making the right decisions in both boxes. “The team is working really well. Every we day we train to the max, and all we need is those three points so we can start growing in confidence. There’s no better moment to do so than this week in a derby. We are lacking a little bit of wisdom to believe in ourselves. A lot of players have come up from Villarreal C, but we’re a family that live together for many hours each day. We’re a very united group and we’re sure that the victory will come very soon,” he concluded.
