The group of former players was officially presented this Monday at the Teatre Tagoba in Vila-real
The Associació d’Exfutbolistes del Villarreal CF (‘Association of Ex-Villarreal CF Players’ – AEV) is now a reality. Former Yellows players from different eras have come together to promote the creation of this new group, which will have the collaboration and recognition of the Yellows and will also be included as an area within the institution. The initiative was presented this Monday at an event held at the Teatre Tagoba in Vila-real.
The event, in which all the details of the ‘Legends Match’ were unveiled, was attended by the president Fernando Roig, Vila-real mayor José Benlloch, the ex-footballers Marcos Senna, Bruno Soriano and Adriano García, as well as Fernando Giner, president of Spain legends.
Adriano García, a legendary goalscorer for the Submarine, and César Arzo, an academy graduate from Vila-real, will act as president and vice-president of the AEV. The board of directors of the association will also include members such as Ernesto Boixader, president of the Celtic Submarí penya. Likewise, Manolo Llorca, Villarreal CF advisor, will act as honorary vice-president.

The aim of the association is to form a broad and diverse social mass, which is representative of the 100 years of Villarreal CF’s history. From Tuesday 21st February, you will be able to sign up via the club’s official website.
