The young Yellows defender has become an important piece in Villarreal’s system
After earning his place in the first-team squad during the pre-season. Miguelón isn’t only living his first season as part of Javi Calleja’s side, he’s become an important part of the Yellows system. “I am very satisfied with the roles the coach is giving to us young players. At the end of the day, whoever plays, we are al able to perform and give our all,” he explains.
The Yellow Submarine defender appeared against the media to analise the current situation regarding Villarreal: “The international break has helped us disconnect and get stronger ahead of the upcoming matches. The dressing room is very united and we are really keen to beat Real Betis and go on a positive run.”
The Yellow’s No.15 looked ahead to a tough match against Quique Setien’s side at the Estadio de la Cerámica this Sunday (8:45pm CET): “They’re a team that play football very well. They don’t shut up shop, they fight for the ball like us. The team that makes the most of possession will be the team that takes the three points. We will hopefully have a great game and take those three points.”
