The Villarreal B head coach underlined the importance of competing well to go head-to-head with the league leaders (Sunday, 12pm CET)
Villarreal B head coach Miguel Álvarez appeared in front of the media in a remote press conference this morning, to analyse the upcoming league tie with UD Ibiza (Sunday, 12pm CET): “UB Ibiza are a side with a lot of potential, with very good players and a lot of experience They have a coach, who despite being new in the league, was working alongside Unai Emery for more than 15 years. We’ll see if we can make likfe difficult for them.”
The manager underlined that it will be key to stay loyal to their identity to face the league leaders: “It isn’t going to be easy. It will be key for them not to have a good day and for us to compete like we’ve done in other stadiums. We don’t have to lose our style, we need to try and go for our opponents and try and keep the important UD Ibiza players quiet.”
Finally, he underlined his pleasure at seeing how the Mini Submarine’s players are growing: “The boys are at a top level and love competing. We’re in our best moment of the season heading to Ibiza. From the summer to now, they’ve progressed a lot.”
