The left back makes the cut and now sits among the best 55 young footballers

For another season, Villarreal CF are represented in the third round of the 2017 Fútbol Draft, this time by Adrián Marín. The defender is up for the best left back award along with Aarón Martín (RCD Espanyol), Sergio Akieme (Rayo Vallecano), Toni Lato (Valencia CF) and Marc Cucurella (FC Barcelona).

The President of the organisation’s Technical Committee is Iñaki Sáez (former Senior national team Manager) and its other members are Javier Lasagabaster (Fútbol Draft Director), Albert Celades (U21 Manager), Luis de la Fuente (U19 Manager), Santi Denia (U17 Manager) Vicente Miera (former Senior national team Manager), Juan Carlos Gómez Perlado (RFEF Fitness Coach), Diego Rivas and Jesús Barbadila (AFE), Ángel Caballero (AEAF Vice President), Juanjo González (RFEF Coach) and Gabriel García (RFEF Coach). This Technical Committee have chosen these 55 young footballers from the 130+ players that made up the first draft list.  

Last season, Villarreal players Rodrigo Hernández (right centre midfielder), Alfonso Pedraza (left midfield) and Adrián Marín (left back) himself got through the final cut, thus placing among the 33 best young footballers and all making it to the Silver Eleven. For his part, Yellows midfielder Samu Castillejo, made it to the Gold Eleven in the 2015 Fútbol Draft.
