The Yellows vice-president underlined that the Yellows’ success is a result of Villarreal CF’s good management
Almost ten days after Villarreal’s historic win on Polish soil, Yellows vice-president José Manuel Llaneza spoke to Villarreal TV this Friday to evaluate the UEFA Europa League win.
He believes the continental title is a result of the way the club is run: “It’s the triumph of an idea. It’s not a dream and it’s not down to luck. It’s the success of an idea that Fernando Roig had and put into place more than two decades ago. We’ve developed it throughout all these years, and now it’s led by Fernando Roig Negueroles.”
Llaneza was present at the Gdansk Stadium. However, since then, he admits that he has watched it back three times. “I got a different feeling than when I was watching it live. We put in a great performance against Manchester United. It’s a historic achievement.”
Finally, the vice-president underlined that the club should continue on the same path that earned them the title, which will hopefully lead to more: “We don’t have the obligation to win every year, but maybe in the future, another trophy will come. We need to continue working humbly and keep our feet on the ground, although we won’t give up on anything.”
