The end of the 2019/20 tournament will take place in Tarragona on 12th, 13th and 14th November

The return of LaLiga Genuine Santander is finally reality! After a lot of time waiting and longing for the magic and the values of the first competition in the world made up of people with intellectual disabilities, the stars of this unique project, created by LaLiga through the Fundación LaLiga charity, will return in Tarragona from 12th to 14th November.

Get excited once more and enjoy the football in its most genuine state while feeling the passion of a league in which we all win, and the most important thing is sharing rather than competing. That is the feeling of all of those involved in this great project: players, coaches, families and supporters. All of them will be able to meet again, complying with the heathcare previsions put in place by the organization, in a weekend full of surprises. After the competition was suspended due to COVID-19 in March 2020, it’s time to revive the spirt that has characterized LaLiga Genuine Santander since its inception.

The final phase in Tarragona will reunite the 36 participating teams from the 2019/20 season, determining the three winning sides: the champions from the ‘Compañerismo’ (Companionship) and ‘Deportividad’ (Sportmanship), as well as the Fair Play champions. There will also be six new teams who join the competiion for the 2021/22 season (Fundació Barça, SD Ponferradina, CF Fuenlabrada, Burgos CF, FC Cartagena and UD Ibiza), who will also be invited to the weekend as guests to enjoy and get to know the Genuine experience through a friendly tournament.

On Friday 12th November, at 8pm CET at the Nou Estadi, the stadium of the host team, Gimnàstic de Tarragona, the opening ceremony for the phase will take place. There, the Genuine family will have a much-awaited reunion. The ceremony, presided over by Javier Tebas, LaLiga president, and Josep Maria Andreu, Gimnàstic de Tarragona president, will have a parade by each of the 42 teams and will kick off a weekend full of excitement.

On Saturday 13th and on the morning of Sunday 14th, the teams will travel to the Complex Esportiu Salou, where they will take part in the games corresponding to this phase. Once they have finished, on Sunday 14th at 1:30pm CEST at the Mini Estadi in the Complex Esportiu Salou, the closing ceremony for the 2019/20 season will take place, where the winners of the LaLiga Genuine Santander season will be announced.
