Villarreal’s intellectually disabled team (EDI) took part in the last stage of the competition in Valencia

Villarreal’s intellectually disabled team (EDI) this weekend signed off their LaLiga Genuine participation for the season, with the last stop of the competition being in the Paterna Training Ground in Valencia. There was a spectacular atmosphere, with the 30 teams showing values such as respect, comradeship, friendship and team work.

The Yellows were not alone, as Marcos Senna, the Villarreal Institutional Relations department member and LaLiga ambassador, was also in attendance.

The final stop was full of surprises, with the players and fans being introduced to KOMOYO, the official LaLiga Genuine Santander mascot, which has been designed in collaboration with all teams involved and represents the competition’s values.

The values have not only taken centre stage on the pitch, but also in the stands at every base of LaLiga Genuine Santander, where family, friends and fans have joined the value-led league. The second season has seen the incorporation of 12 new teams, making it a total of 30 in the league. There were six bases in total: Tarragona, Córdoba, A Coruña, Madrid, Segovia and Valencia, where nerves, emotions and joy filled the air.
