Villarreal once more back the mountain race which takes place this weekend
Villarreal once more backs Penyagolosa Trails HG 2019 within the Endavant Esports project. The prestigious mountain race will take place from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th April. This morning, at the Estadio de la Cerámica, Villarreal president Fernando Roig; head coach Javi Calleja and various first team squad members have promoted the sporting event alongside athletes taking part in the event, like Nini Oliveira, Cecilia Ramos, Cat Bradley, Cody Reed, Tessa Chesser, Jeff Colt, Landie Greyling and Christiaan Greyling.
Villarreal continues supporting provincial sport within its Endavant Esports project, which does not only support clubs and athletes in the Castellón province, but also important events. Penyagolosa Trails is a mountain race, renowned both nationally and internationally, that represents under the same brand, the two most important mountain races in the province of Castellón: Marató i Mitja (MIM) and Castelló-Penyagolosa (CSP). It’s a race that has continued growing, becoming one of the most important mountain races around.
The practice of mountain sports has an important history and tradition in Castellón. These events are an opportunity to discover the richness of the natural, social and human heritage of the territory. Penyagolosa Trails’ values are those of solidarity, respecting people and oneself, and looking after the environment.
Penyagolosa Trails HG 2019 will take place Friday 12th to Sunday 14th April. The first day will see the Runners Fair from 11am CEST to 9pm CEST, where athletes will be able to collect their numbers and runners’ bag. The CSP will start at midnight from the Plaza de las Aulas in Castellón, and the MiM will start at 6am from the athletic tracks at the Jaume I University (UJI). The first runners are expected to arrive at around 11:20am. When the first runners arrive, the flower ceremony will take place, before the general prizes.
