Villarreal CF will fight for their dream to reach a European final against Arsenal 15 years later
It’s our time! Villarreal CF will face Arsenal in the UEFA Europa League semi-finals (Thursday 9pm CEST, Estadio de la Cerámica). Football ha gien the Yellows a chance to redeem themselves and once more fight to reach a European final against the English side, who they lost to in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in the 2005/06 campaign.
Former Yellows footballers Marcos Senna, Mariano Barbosa, Juanma Peña, César Arzo and Héctor Font, who were part of the Yellows’ team in that semi-final, relived that moment in a emotive video which alludes to the passion and pride of the club and the city of Vila-real, with football giving them a fantastic chance to rewrite history.
