Toko Ekambi, Chukwueze, Funes Mori, Layún, Fornals and Pedraza will play for their countries

A total of six Villarreal players will take part in the international break. Karl Toko Ekambi, Samu Chukwueze, Ramiro Funes Mori, Miguel Layún, Pablo Fornals and Alfonso Pedraza will pull on their country’s shirt.

Toko Ekambi will join Cameroon for the Indomitable Lions’ Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Moroccos, and then Brazil in a friendly tie.

Chukwueze has been called up to the Nigeria side for the first time. The teenager will defend is country in the Africa Cup of Nations tie against South Africa and in a friendly against Uganda.

Fornals will be with Spain for the UEFA Nations League game against Croatia and a friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina, the team against who he made his Spain debut two years ago. What’s more, Pedraza will play for Spain U21s for two friendlies against Denmark U21s and France U21s.

Finally Funes Mori and Layún will play for Argentina and Mexico respectively in two friendly matches between the two sides that will take place on Argentine soil.

Toko Ekambi (Cameroon)

  • Friday, 16th November: Morocco vs Cameroon, 8pm, Stade Mohammed V (Casablanca, Morocco).
  • Tuesday, 20th November: Brazil vs Cameroon, 8.30pm, Stadium MK (Milton Keynes, England).

Samu Chukwueze (Nigeria)

  • Saturday, 17th November: South Africa vs Nigeria, 2pm, Soccer City (Johannesburg,South Africa).
  • Tuesday, 20th November: Nigeria vs Uganda, Stephen Keshi Stadium (Asaba, Nigeria). Time TBC.

Pablo Fornals (Spain)

  • Thursday, 15th November: Croatia vs Spain, 8:45pm, Maksimir Stadium (Zagreb, Croatia).
  • Sunday, 18th November: Spain vs Bosnia-Herzegovina, 8.45pm, Estadio de Gran Canaria (Gran Canaria, Spain).

Alfonso Pedraza (Spain U21)

  • Wednesday, 14th November: Spain vs Denmark, 8pm, Estadio de las Gaunas (Logroño, Spain).
  • Monday, 19th November: France vs Spain: 9:45pm, Stade Michel d’Ornano (Caen, France).

Ramiro Funes Mori (Argentina)
