Miguel Álvarez underlined the importance of staying competitive against a tough opponent

Villarreal B head coach Miguel Álvarez appeared in front of media in a remote press conference to analyse the upcoming league game against Hércules CF at the José Rico Pérez (Sunday, 12pm CET): “I like to face high-level teams because they will put you in your place. I am sure that we will compete well, and as always, we are going there to try and win. I am looking forward to seeing the team’s level. We’ve got a lot of very good teams to face now.”

The Mini Submarine go into the game after a draw against Valencia Mestalla (1-1): “We need to think about the team’s mentality. In every game apart from the one against Alcoyano, we’ve conceded first, but after that we’ve been capable to try and turn the score around, showing incredible mental strength.”

Finally, Álvarez underlined that Villarreal B have to try and keep showing personality on the pitch: “The most important thing is being ourselves. We need to learn to enjoy defending, not only attacking. They are going to demand a lot from us.”
