Santi Cáseres has advocated keeping calm and carrying on in the same style as the Atlético Madrid game
Villarreal’s Argentine midfielder Santi Cáseres has appeared in front of the media to analyse the current goings on with regards to the Yellows. The No.5 underlined his happiness at his quick return to the pitch: “I am very happy for how my recovery went. I was really keen on getting back to 100% and I did it quicker than expected. I couldn’t wait to get back and help the team.”
What’s more, Cáseres underlines that Villarreal are facing their current predicament head on seriously and with a change of mentality: “We’re very aware of our situation. The team has been working hard in the last few weeks. Against Atlético Madrid, we were the better team and we had chances to win the match.”
The Yellows No.5 also recognises the importance of getting a win this Thursday against Rapid Vienna in the Europa League: “A win would help us a lot in the upcoming matches in the competition and it would also give us trust in the games that are to come. We are really keen to get our first win at the Estadio de la Cerámica. I am convinced that if we play like we did against Atlético Madrid, we will get the three points.”
