World champion Aixa Salvador and Yellows Academy sides will be honoured
Villarreal’s youth football will take centre stage before the Copa del Rey match (Wednesday, 8:30pm) against UD Almería at the Estadio de la Cerámica, as well as at half-time.
It’s worth mentioning the homage that will be paid to academy graduate Aixa Salvador, who on Saturday won the U17 Women’s World Cup with Spain. The Ladies first-team player will receive a ceramic football boot in Villarreal colours just before kick-off.
At half-time, the club will pay homage to all Yellows Academy sides, who will take to the pitch for a round of applause from the fans and to take a group photo. This will serve as an official presentation for all Villarreal youth teams.
