Villarreal draw but look promising in their fifth preseason friendly
Villarreal’s friendly against SC Braga (0-0) finished in a goalless draw, in a match where the Yellows, despite not getting on the score sheet, looked promising as they created numerous chances and played some fine, fast football. Marcelino’s side came close to scoring with chances from Afif, Soldado and Samu Castillejo, but the Portuguese side were able to contain the Yellows’ momentum.
With this encounter, played at the Estadio Primero de Maio de Braga, the Yellows have now played five preseason friendlies (vs l’Hospitalet, Nàstic, Real Sociedad and Sporting de Portugal). Next week, Marcelino’s men will play FC Porto at the Estadio de Dragao (10:30pm CET).
