The forward was happy with the win against Real Betis and hailed his team-mates’ work
With a perfectly-executed header, Gerard Moreno put Villarreal ahead on the scoreboard and put the Yellow Submarine on track for victory against Real Betis (2-1). After the match, the goalscorer appeared in front of the cameras for Villarreal CF Tv to analyse what happened in an exciting tie: “We’re very happy. We were really keen on getting the first LaLiga victory in front of our home fans. All the time were fantastic. We were in control for nearly all of the match and we deservedly got teh three points.”
Furthermore, the Yellows striker underlined that the Yellow Submarine are now focused on getting a European victory this Thursday against Rangers (9pm CET): “We’re going to get ready for the match and work hard to get a win in Scotland which would allow us progress in European competition.”
