The defender played the 90 minutes against Sweden, while the forward came off the bench in the 74th minute

Yellows Pau Torres and Gerard Moreno enjoyed minutes on the pitch as Spain made their Euro 2020 debut, drawing 0-0 against Sweden at La Cartuja in Seville. The centre-back from Vila-real was named in the starting lineup, forming a centre-back partnership with Aymeric Laporte, and played the full 90 minutes. The Catalan striker replaced Dani Olmo in the 74th minute. When he was on the pitch, Gerard had a headed chance that was one of the clearest opportunities in the game, and caused danger in the Swedish box.

Gerard now has 11 caps for Spain, scoring five times. Pau has represented his country a total of eight times, scoring once.

Next up for Spain are the following games:

  • Spain vs Poland: Saturday 19th June, 9pm CEST, La Cartuja (Seville).
  • Slovakia vs Spain: Wednesday 23rd June, 6pm CEST, Estadio La Cartuja (Seville).

Disappointing debut for Estupiñán in the Copa América

Pervis Estupiñán was another Yellows player who featured for his country in continental competitions, this time the Copa América. His country, Ecuador, lost 0-1 to Colombia, with the left-back playing the whole game.
