The Yellows footballer shared his experience with Mateo Villanueva, Villarreal North Texas Academy player
A surprise full of great advice. Yellows Academy player Fer Niño shared his experiences and sent best wishes to Mateo Villanueva, a player from Villarreal North Texas, who recently injured his knee. The Villarreal B player answers the young American player’s questions and gave him advice on how to face his recovery.
In the 2016/17 season, Fer Niño suffered a cruciate ligament injury in his right knee, which saw him out of action for a number of months. But he didn’t lose his excitement for football, working hard to recover and play alongside his team-mates once more.
With his injury behind him, in the 2018/19 season, he was one of the standout players for the U19s (Juvenil A), as they the Copa del Rey and the league.
This season he has played for Villarreal C and Villarreal B, and also fulfilled his dream of playing with the first team and scoring two crucial goals against Deportivo Alavés, in LaLiga, and Rayo Vallecano, in the Copa del Rey.
