Musacchio says an emotional goodbye and that from now on he will be “another Villarreal fan”
Mateo Musacchio bid farewell to fans and media in the press conference at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva) after eight seasons wearing the Yellow shirt. The Argentinean defender was visibly emotional during the press conference, in which he thanked the club and the fans for their support during his long career as a Submarine footballer: “I came to this club when I was very young and it has helped me grow as a player and a person. I only have words of gratitude. For eight years I have given everything for this team and have had incredible experiences”.
Likewise, the defender affirmed that, from afar, he will always be a Submarine fan: “From now on, I’m another Villarreal fan. I’ve had great times at this club, I thought this was going to be easier, but it is difficult to say goodbye”.
Villarreal CF would like to thank Mateo Musacchio for his commitment, dedication and professionalism during the past eight years and, wholeheartedly, wish him the best of luck for the next chapter of his football career.
