The Ecuadorian defender underlined his excitement at wearing pulling on the Villarreal shirt
Pervis Estupiñán was presented this afternoon as a new Villarreal CF player in a press conference, accompanied by CEO Fernando Roig Negueroles, spoke for the the first time as a Yellows player.
The Ecuadorian defender showed his excitement and thanked the club for the faith shown in him: “I’m very happy to be here. Every football player knows Villarreal CF. When this opportunity came up, I didn’t think twice. It’s a very exciting project with big objectives.”
For Estupiñán, arriving at a club like Villarreal is a great chance to continue growing: “I’ve always dreamed of playing for big clubs and today I’ve managed to do that. Here I want to grow as a footballer. I want to fulfil the objectives that the club propose and have a great campaign together.”
The Ecuadorian footballer also underlined that he is extremely motivated to join the Yellows. “You can’t ask for much more. Arriving at a massive club which has excellent players and always fights to be at the top of the table. I want to give my best and have a great season in Villarreal.”
Finally, with regards to his qualities, Estupiñán defines himself as a footballer with a great attacking capability: “I’m a player who likes to attack and link up with his team-mates. I consider myself a player with potential to join the attack, but always being aware that I am predominantly a defender.”
