The Villarreal CF Manager was sorry his team were not at their best against Valencia
The Villarreal CF Manager, Fran Escribá, recognised that the team was not at its usual level against Valencia, above all in the first half at the Estadio de la Cerámica: “We made too many mistakes, especially in the first half. The game started well, but we dropped our level of intensity. Going 0-2 down is a big gap and it made the second half more difficult”.
However, the Manager positively highlighted his side’s second lot of 45 minutes: “It was one of the worst games we’ve played, but the second half was good, intense”.
To finish, Escribá spoke about the new addition to the Submarine, Adrián López, who played for the Yellows last season: “We’re really happy to have Adrián with us because he’s a great player and very well liked in the dressing room. He is a strong player that knows how to play very well. What’s more, he’s a great addition in attack because of the deficit we’re having up top”.
