Villarreal head coach Unai Emery appeared before the media to analyse the Yellows’ impressive victory over Atlético de Madrid at the Cívitas Metropolitano (0-2).
The Basque manager highlighted the great personality shown by his team in Spanish capital: “That was our plan. We also knew we had to be patient. We didn’t rush when we had the ball. Everything went brilliantly.”
The Yellows coach also praised the excellent work his team did in defence: “We took the game to what we are and defensively, we also knew we had to be very demanding. We did that and we took advantage of the spaces when we were already ahead on the scoreboard.”
