The Villarreal head coach believes the point achieved against Cádiz is positive, although he describes it as insufficient

Villarreal CF head coach Unai Emery has described the point earned against Cádiz (0-0) as insufficient, as he acknowledged that a lack of finishing prevented the Submarine from taking the lead: “We had many chances to win, but we missed them and then we could have lost. In the end our option was to catch them out with Danjuma and Morales. The feeling is bittersweet in the sense that it was a good game in which we could have made the difference. We value the point, although it is insufficient.”

For Emery, the results so far for Cádiz did not reflect what was seen on the pitch: “Cádiz had competed well at the start of LaLiga despite the negative results. They won in Valladolid and I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game for us.”

Finally, the Basque coach gave a positive assessment of Villarreal’s start: “At the start of LaLiga we’ve played a lot of games away from home and it’s difficult to win. We are in a position within our objectives, although not the most ambitious. The team’s trajectory is good.”
