The goalkeeper has signed a new contract with Villarreal Women

Villarreal CF and Elena de Toro Aldaria (31/01/1997, Bolaños de Calatrava, Ciudad Real) have reached an agreement for the extension of the goalkeeper’s contract for the next two seasons. De Toro will stay with the Yellows until 30th June 2024.

The goalkeeper joined Villarreal Women in the 2020/21 season, becoming a key player in that campaign, as the Yellows were promoted to Primera Iberdrola. In her first campaign as a yellow, de Toro played 23 matches, conceding just 19 goals and keeping 11 clean sheets,

De Toro continued to show her impressive level for Villarreal Women in the top flight, with five clean sheets from the 25 league matches she was involved in.

The goalkeeper is the sixth player to confirm that they will form part of Sara Monforte’s squad for the 2022/23 season, joining Tere Morató, Sheila Guijarro, Lara Mata, Irene Miguélez and Vera Rico.
