Aixa Salvador, Laura Royo, Sara Medina, Olivia Oprea, Sara Bermell, Pamela Tajonar, Zaïra Flores and Raquel Pinel will leave the Submarine

A total of eight Villarreal Women players will leave the club as of 1 July. Aixa Salvador, Laura Royo, Sara Medina, Olivia Oprea, Sara Bermell, Pamela Tajonar, Zaïra Flores and Raquel Pinel will be leaving the club.

Castellón-born Aixa Salvador received this season the ceramic submarine that is awarded in the traditional tribute to all the club’s players who celebrate 10 years as groguets. The attacker from La Plana completed her decade in the club in two different stages.

Meanwhile, Laura Royo, who leaves Vila-real after four seasons; Sara Medina, who leaves after three seasons; and Olivia and Sara Bermell, who leave the Submarine two years after their arrival, were among the heroines of the historic promotion to the First Division.

Likewise, Mexican international Pamela Tajonar and home-grown talents Zaïra Flores and Raquel Pinel arrived this season to help Villarreal Women secure a stay in the Spanish top league.

Villarreal CF thanks them for their commitment to the club and wishes them the best of luck and success in their new professional careers.
